Strengthenin National Health Control Capacity Framework - Djibouti

The Government of Djibouti wish to increase exports of fish and fishery products. MEP are assisting the Government of Djibouti, under the auspices of the ACP Secretariat, with improvement of legislation relating to Fisheries exports,  training and assistance to the Competent Authority (CA) and Fish Inspection Staff, and advising Laboratory facilities and technicians.

The project encompasses Industrial and Artisinal Fisheries and includes the implementation of five support and training programmes, support for the CA, support to improve the sanitary conditions of artisinal fisheries, support to industrial fisheries and processing, support to the national Food Testing Laboratory and support to the geochemical laboratory at the CERD (Djibouti Study and Research Centre). MEP experts proposed an action plan and are now in the process of implementing the plan.
