MEP marine engineers redesigned and refurbished an existing 800 tonne cargo vessel, fitted all new machinery, commissioned and sea trialled the vessel. An MEP economist conducted a survey of cargoes and routes for Lake Tanganyika, and an operational plan was established and the vessel's master and crew trained.
