MEP prepared an Environmental Impact Assessment for a major shrimp and fish farming venture in southern Belize. A two-person team conducted a site visit to assess the existing physical, biological and socio-economic environment, and determine the potential effects from the project's development. A report was made to the client and the project's financiers as to the environmental impact of the project, which included recommendations for mitigating possible deleterious effects through farm design and management options.
