A two-man team assessed the potential of setting up a fish farm in one of the cays along the barrier reef in Belize. Current speed (using an ADCP, Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler) and water quality measurements were recorded, and an assessment made of the habitats and marine life. The data was used to assess the oceanographic status of the sea around the Cay and its suitability as the base for a cage farm.
