The Cape Verde Government received credit from the African Development Bank to purchase new fishing vessels for the inshore fleet. MEP were retained by the Government of Cape Verde to evaluate the requirements of the fishery, prepare specifications for suitable vessels, engines and fishing gear, prepare tender documents for supply of vessels and engines, and assist with tender evaluation. MEP naval architects and vessel surveyors supervised construction of vessels to acceptable standards.
