Project Preparation of a $10 million fisheries sector development project for AfDB financing. A review of the sector was undertaken to identify important development requirements and detail of the rationale for the project with project objectives. Project components included: an industrial fishing port, a national wholesale market, an MCS programme, credit provision, ice production at inland river centres, research activities and institutional strengthening. Financial and economic analyses and justification was undertaken for all project components, and bills of quantity were specified for all civil engineering works along with detailed site drawings. 19 January 2000 (1129GAM)
