MEP undertook a Master Plan study of the fishing industry, looking at the main fisheries enterprises and facilities in the three main ports of Riga, Ventspil and Liepaja. The resort assessed the performance of the enterprises and made estimates and recommendations on future requirements for facilities and services within the ports, considered the issues of resource availability, technical state of the fleet and processing factories, together with management, ownership and relationships with the ports.
