The project aimed to improve efficiency in the private sector fish processing factories by introducing quality standards and control systems to EU levels by the provision of training and expertise to allow preparation of business plans. Management support, enterprise management and financial control was provided by the establishment of local/regional fish markets, marketing, auditing, training needs assessment and market strategy.
