A two man MEP team visited Liberia and carried out a sector study of the artisanal fisheries. The team visited all the major fishing communities and landing sites and collected available data including the semi industrial fisheries, the freshwater fishing, fish marketing and gear supply. The report contained recommendations for the strengthening of local institutions and training.
