MEP provided a three-man team in shrimp resource management and fisheries economy to make recommendations for a short and medium term policy for the management of the entire shrimp resource, both coastal and deep water stocks, on the East and West coasts of Madagascar. Recommendations for a policy for the licensing of access to the fishery and a policyfor environmentally sustainable development was also made.
