Using computer modelling techniques, MEP provided an assessment of the status of the hake population off the coast of Namibia. The study also involved a review of the fisheries policy and an analysis of current and potential environmental threats to the fishery, the hake marketing system and the reliability of supply and prices to processing companies. 06 March 2000
