MEP undertook an environmental impact assessment examining the possible effects exploitation of the Inchkhe-More Oilfield would have upon the surround-ing area. The study provided an introductory picture of the existing environment adjacent to the oilfield. All aspects of the present environment were evaluated including coastal geomorphology, terrestrial and marine ecology, weather patterns, fisheries and current sources of pollution. The need to safeguard the natural resources in the area were also highlighted.
