An MEP Coral Ecologist reviewed the salvage procedures and impact from the grounding of a vessel on a coral reef outside Jeddah Harbour in the Red Sea. A detailed assessment of the damage to coral communities from physical and chemical damage and their long-term implications for the local ecology, were made.
