An MEP team of fisheries and stock assessment specialists analysed the fish resources of the country and their current state of exploitation to advise the Government on the potential to expand fishing effort within the EEZ together with the monitoring, control and surveillance (MCS) system and equipment. MEP supervised the tender for the supply of a computer-based fishing vessel monitoring system and the training of staff in the operation of the chosen system.
