MEP supplied aquaculture and environmental specialists to assess the likelihood that gas oil entered a large highly intensive eel farm causing a heavy mortality following a spill in the port from which the farm draws its supply. Specialists investigating the case examined the possibility that oil entered the farm following the spill and assessed the potential for mortality that such a pollution incident would have caused.
