Study to assess the potential for further development of aquaculture in south west England, particularly the development of employment for fishermen leaving the fish capture sector as a result of fleet adjustment. A survey was made of the sheltered water areas for physical and biological properties and existing uses with analysis of potential areas for further development of aquaculture and the constraints imposed by water quality, The study included an examination of markets for aquaculture products and strategies for producers to develop niche markets relevant to the production constraints of the area.
