MEP have advised on all fisheries-related topics of the current upgrading of Fishguard Harbour in Wales. This included an assessment of the fisheries resource base to provide estimates for future expansion of the fishing harbour, together with advice on the design and layout of the wharves and fish landing areas. MEP also contributed to the planning of new fish processing, cold storage and ice production facilities to allow the port to comply fully with new EU hygiene and safety regulations.
