Feasibility study to assess the need, scope and possible structure for MSC-mediated standards for sustainable aquaculture. The study will include (i) a predictive assessment of the potential for such an eco-labelling scheme for the MSC, in particular the market-drivers for certification and the complimentarity of existing schemes (ii) the advantages and disadvantages to the MSC in operating such a programme including the potential conflicts with the existing 'Sustainable Marine Capture Fisheries Programme'; (iii) the methodology by which a scheme could be developed; and (iv) the institutional framework under which this could operate.
