Multi-disciplinary coastal fisheries and aquaculture project

A French speaking project undertaken by a multinational consortium. The Government of Djibouti requested technical assistance in development of the coastal fisheries and aquaculture by expertise in socio-economy, environment, fisheries, aquaculture and maritime legislation. A feasibility study was undertaken during the first six months of the project followed by the actual selected activities to develop the fisheries sector. A long term team leader located on the field for a year was assisted by a multidisciplinary team of 6 short term experts. MEP Ltd. was responsbile for writing the major part of the proposal and identifying the team experts.
