MEP has an observer aboard the Seismic Vessel Bin Hai 517. The Observer is monitoring marine mammals together with onboard emissions. A variety of streamer and array configurations have been tested and similar testing is ongoing; 20 lines to date have been completed. The survey hopes to achieve minimum frequency and maximum penetration. Cetaceans have been sited and identified.
