MEP were appointed by Woodside Oil Co to develop a fisheries interaction management plan for the Chinguetti oil field offshore Mauritania . MEP fish stock assessment and fisheries economics specialists worked with Mauritanian research and fisheries specialists to identify and chart the fishing activities of the affected areas and to evaluate the overall effect on the national and international fisheries. Based on this analysis a fisheries interaction management plan was developed by MEP for Woodside to present to Government of Mauritania.
