Yemen LNG Vulnerable Groups Survey

MEP were requested by Yemen LNG to carry out a non-nomadic fishermen and vulnerable persons survey, to include vulnerable persons data analysis and reporting. This included the design of a program specifically to benefit the non-nomadic fishing operation and to test whether the provision of nets and floats for these boats was a suitable option. The ultimate objective was to understand better the workings of the non-nomadic fishing operation and the likely future impacts of the YLNG project on it. The study was carried out concurrently with a study on vulnerable community members throughout the affected area, the two studies compared data and reached joint conclusions.
