Project Summary: MEP supplied a Food Safety Expert to a team including a legal and economic expert to assist the strengthening of the capacity of the Food Inspection Authorities responsible for food and foodstuffs exported to the EU from the Ivory Coast.
HACCP, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and GHP (Good Hygiene Practices) training for Competent Authorities, private sector and artisanal fishermen, Guiding laboratories to accreditation through the procurement of equipment and relevant training of staff, Improving the inspection capacity of the Competent Authorities, specifically through logistics and equipment, Implementation of surveillance plans for aquatic contaminants.
