Having set MEP up in 1976 David has managed a large variety of fisheries projects over a period of 40 years in both the private sector and working with numerous development agencies including UN, the EU and the World Bank Group. With extensive experience of working in Europe, The Middle East, Asia, Africa and the Americas, David has a wide-ranging knowledge of fisheries policy and management in both developed and less developed countries. Long term projects in Oman, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, India, PRC, Korea, Sierra Leone and UK have been implemented. David has a particular interest in sustainability and community management which he has successfully introduced to several countries. A speciality that David has practiced over many years and in many countries is fisheries compensation claims and loss adjusting in both the public and private sector, cases include port and harbour development, wind farm and tidal generation, collision with static nets, and spoilage to fish cargoes.
