MEP were contracted to carry out a review of sector competitiveness and development prospects for Egypt’s aqua feed and aquaculture value chains.
The study sought to identify and map key private sector companies through developing and administrating surveys and questionnaires through primary research. Market analysis and a review of the regulatory environment and key sector risks were performed via the use of secondary data. This allowed the identification of potential sector investment gaps, needs and capacity building opportunities.
The key information gathered throughout the study formed the basis of a list of recommendations for sector investment.
