Dublin Array, a major offshore development project, located in the Irish Sea off the coast of Dublin is in development phase and lies within the 12 nautical mile limit and extends to approximately 25,440 hectares. Fishing activity within the area includes substantial commercial fisheries for key Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) quota species. MEP’s tasks include; cooperation strategy services, high-level compensation strategy for pre-construction survey activities, liaison with the fishing industry and negotiation of compensation or disturbance agreements. Initial surveys were carried out and agreements with all fishers reliant on the grounds reached.
