MEP are contracted, with our colleagues in the Control Union Indonesia offices, to complete social audits on the Indonesia fresh tuna supply to Thai Union. The audits are completed against the Thai Union Vessel Code of Conduct requirements.
To date, 10 vessels have been audited to determine conformity levels. The work also included a bench-marking exercise against Indonesian legislation requirements and recommendations on how to move forward with Vessel Improvement Programmes in the near future.
