On behalf of Yemen LNG, MEP conducted a non-nomadic fishermen and vulnerable persons survey, which included vulnerable person data analysis and reporting. This included the design of a program specifically to benefit the non-nomadic fishing operation and to test whether the provision of nets and floats for these boats was a suitable option. The overall objective was to understand better, the workings of the non-nomadic fishing operation and the likely future impacts of the YLNG project on it. The study was carried out concurrently with a study on vulnerable community members throughout the affected area; the two studies compared data and reached joint conclusions.
